ABOUT OUR CLUB

Club was founded by Grand Master Woo Hyuk Choi with the goal to run a Tae Kwon Do school to create the best environment that can be provided for people of all ages. Along with that, we have the goal of building self confidence and improving physical abilities of all the participants. When you visit our club, you can feel the strong dedication we have to this sport.

TAE KWON DO BENEFITS

Tae Kwon Do is a martial art form that originated in Korea and is practiced around the world. It offers a variety of physical and mental benefits. From self-defense to losing weight, tae kwon do is a martial art for all ages. It can be an individual sport, a partner sport or a group sport.

Self-Discipline

Learning to control your movements, perfect your forms and memorize patterns takes concentration and focus.

Self-Esteem

Tae Kwon Do helps you improve your self-confidence because it tones your muscles and helps you lose weight, both of which happen through the virtue of practicing a high-intensity martial art like tae kwon do.

As you progress through tae kwon do training you will improve, from defensive positions and blocking moves to the most advanced stages of the martial art form that conditions your body and enhances your alertness levels. This prepares you to avoid, or confront, a variety of circumstances, using mild, moderate, or severe force, as required by the situation.

Self-Defense

As you progress through Tae Kwon Do training, you'll improve from defensive positions and blocking moves to the most advanced stages of the martial art form that condition your body and enhance your alertness levels to avoid or deal with and confront a variety of circumstances, using mild, moderate or severe force, as required by the situation.

Coordination and Flexibility

Many of the moves in Tae Kwon Do require a certain degree of flexibility and range of motion. Tae Kwon Do moves require core and spinal strength for upright kicking moves. Range of hip and shoulder motion is also important, as is balance. Whether balancing on one foot, performing a front or side kick, or striking, many moves require your legs and arms to work together to either defend or attack.

Losing Weight

If you want to get into shape, burn calories, and burn away that pot belly, practicing Tae Kwon Do on a regular basis will definitely help.

Strengthen Mind and Body

One of the physical benefits of Tae Kwon Do training is that it strengthens our muscles, bones, joints, tendons, and ligaments. The most noticeable effect will be on the muscles. While Tae Kwon Do alone may not help you increase muscle mass, it will tone muscles as fat is reduced and muscles become more active.

Teamwork and Social Skills

Students who enroll in martial arts learn how to communicate with the world around them. As your child gains confidence to respond, you will notice an increase in overall communication. Sparring, board breaking, combat sparring, self-defense are all done in teams. At tournaments, our competition team works to support each other before, during, and after competition.

Learning the Ability to Fail

Students in Tae Kwon Do will fail at some time. They may get kicked by a sparring partner, drop a weapon, lose at a tournament, or not pass a belt testing. Allowing children to fail in a safe environment lets them see that failure is not an end, but the beginning of a great story.

3-4 YEARS LITTLE TIGERS

Little Tigers program is designed for children 3-4 years old, and serves as introduction to Tae Kwon Do. Children will have fun with tons of running, jumping, and kicking exercises and games while developing important skills such as coordination, balance, and strength. Our classes also help children to kick-start their memory and cognitive development through learning basic Tae Kwon Do movements and forms.

4-6 YEARS DRAGONS

WE ARE FOCUS ON PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT ASPECT MARTIAL ARTS, NOT JUST SELF- DEFENSE MOVES
A STRONG SENSE OF RESPECT

The traditional nature of martial arts teaches kids respect in their classes, whether they are taking a bow or waiting patiently for the next set of instructions. This sense of respect also helps kids improve their grade, while improving their listening skills at home at in school. Complex physical activities such as martial arts have proven to strengthen the brain’s neural networks, helping kids improve their focus and self-control. This can be especially beneficial for kids.

7-12 YEARS BEGINNERS TAE KWON DO

During school, children learn academics in a structured atmosphere with others their age. Taking Tae Kwon Do with their peers teaches and reinforces the concepts of respect, self-control and focus, which are priceless tools they can use in school, through a novel learning environment. Students also gain confidence and grow in responsibility by taking classes and advancing to higher belt levels. Tae Kwon Do classes are especially beneficial for students who are kinesthetic learners.

12-17 TEENAGE

This class is designed specifically for young adults in middle school and high school. Students focus on goal-setting and strengthening their physical and mental abilities. That is the best way to keep in shape and meet new friends while practice and spar together.
